- I want to learn more about graphics design, but unfortunately here where I live in West Virgnia, there are no classes that I can take. So I try to learn by the 'seat of my pants' so to speak.

For those of you that don't know me...I am a computer addict (I think? LOL) I love playing with web pages and will soon begin my own. I have the domain...just haven't had the time to start. I am a bit crazy, have an off-beat sense of humor but love life to the fullest.
I hand coded a web page in HTML about 9 years ago...a very substantial site covering topics like herbology, saving wovles and Wicca. That was a long time ago and on a computer not much different than the one Jo started out on.
In the past I have taken classes here and there when I lived in Asheville, NC, but after moving up here to West Virginia have been on a starvation/experimentation study program when it comes to the web. For me, no matter the program, it is always been a question of "How can I do that?" and never "Oh, I can't do that!" And at times I have had to find ways to fool the computer. LOL
I am so happy to be here and a part of this. I guess I am also an addictive learner when it comes to web design and graphics creation. To be able to take photographs and then change them so they come out like the one above or this one instead of what I have done on Corel Draw 7 (my last graphic below) are a dream come true. So many ideas floating around in my head....
Sexy & Romantic glitter graphics from Sexi Luv.comTo make things a little more complicated, the prison where I work has moved me to night shift (2200-0600) and I am trying to get my sleep patterns changed around...sheesh!!!! This means for the last week, and probably for the next couple of weeks, I won't be on line as much as usual. But I will be here as often as I can...and will get PSP downloaded! My computer is running 24/7 now. LOL

Well first off.. let me tell you that I am thrilled that you joined us. *Smiles*
Secondly If you don't mind I will use one of your pictures in one of my tutorials... I would like the one that shows off your beautiful eyes...
3rdly we don't have any graphic schools near me either and I learned everything by taking years and years of classes on line... All free! Unfortunately those folks who once taught have spent a fortune on sites to maintain them and the bandwith was incredible.. These folks did it for free... Just as I will here.. So having to pay huge bills just to help people... well most just stopped trying... So there are less sites still in operation.. but there are some... We can show you some of the cool stuff we have learned along the way... FREE.
You just need to get PSP Paint Shop Pro.. and we will start off with the basics. :) Hugs Jo
